Hidden Wonders of Arabia

 17th Nov-23rd Nov 2024 ($5000 single occupancy)

Experience a remarkable journey across the Arabian peninsula photographing the natural wonders of Tabuk, Saudi Arabia with Mostafa Depo and Sapna Reddy.

This remarkable adventure involves capturing stunning mountains, valleys, sand dunes, and impressive rock formations. You will have the opportunity to be amongst the first to witness this awe-inspiring destination given the kingdom was closed to outsiders until very recently. The experience will be fully customized, led by two seasoned landscape photographers and local guides, ensuring you receive expert guidance to discover and photograph extraordinary landscapes. We will venture into the renowned Bajdaj Desert and Disah Valley, including an over night stay at a local farm nestled in the valley's heart, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in its pristine splendor. Most of the places we explore are far off the beaten path with hidden wonders at every turn.

Group size is limited to 6 students with two instructors to ensure that everyone receives individual attention.

This workshop will require minimal hiking making it possible for anyone to join.

-How to distill the scene before you to create an evocative image.
-Find compelling compositions that convey a strong visual story.
-How to shoot the desert landscapes and rock formations.
-Focus stacking, focal length blend, and perspective blend.
-Mastering the technical details of image capture including bracketing and exposure blend.
-Choice of focal length and creative ways to use lens distortion.
-Using filters.

During the dedicated post processing sessions you will learn:
-How to render colors for color harmony.
-Blend multiple exposures in photoshop.
-Final image rendition for panoramas using Photoshop.
